A Faithful Remnant of God’s True Church

We are former members of the Radio Church of God, headed by Herbert W. Armstrong, which later changed its name to the Worldwide Church of God. Some of our members were students at Ambassador College in the late 1950s. Our leadership is given full ministerial authority based upon the authority of that original faithful Body of Christ, the Radio Church of God.

For this Remnant to survive the Church apostasy of 1973–1974 we had to leave the Worldwide Church of God organization and fellowship. The Church leaders and members openly denied divine revelation, “the faith once delivered,” by accepting the changes of its teaching. We then became hesitantly associated with The Church of God the Eternal, headed by Raymond Cole. Initially, though deceptively, it seemed to be holding fast to the doctrine as delivered. But the “fruits” of that Church organization and leadership indicated something was inherently wrong there. Matthew 7:16, 20: “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?…Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

We finally had to leave that organization and fellowship in 1991 when we realized the significance of their bad fruits and their cause: very deceptive doctrinal errors. The main error was the same as with the parent Body: DENIAL OF DIVINE REVELATION, namely the teaching about Pentecost and the Holy Day offerings. The years we spent with that organization and fellowship were very frustrating due to the error and the bad fruits. God was trying to reach our hearts and minds with His own “pricks” (promptings and misgivings). It was hard for us to “kick against the pricks” as it was for Paul (Acts 9:5). We finally got the message and disassociated ourselves from that error, with all its continual frustrations and upsets.

We finally realized we were fighting Jesus Christ and had to leave to be able to obey God. We, like all the others, were involved with a denial of the power of God’s Holy Spirit to give us His divine revelation, “the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 3). Once again, we had to leave an organization and fellowship to keep the teaching as we were taught (Col. 2:7; 1Thes. 2:13; 2Thes. 2:15).

We have not incorporated as a Church organization, but we do remain faithful in fellowship with others of like mind, “a remnant according to the election of grace” (Rom. 11:5). We sincerely hope there are others out there like us, scattered abroad yet still striving to remain the faithful ministers and stewards of the Truth of God as delivered (1Cor. 4:1–2).

The Church of God the Eternal organization and an offshoot of it headed by Bryce Clark claim to teach what Herbert W. Armstrong taught before the official apostasies that began in 1973–1974. This is absolutely not true and is easily understood upon an honest examination of the facts. These two groups have accepted and continue to be established in a denial of divine revelation that began with the parent Body, the Worldwide Church of God, in 1973–1974.

This remnant, through this web site, is giving an explanation of this common error about Pentecost and the perversion of the SEVEN HOLY DAY OFFERINGS IN THE THREE DISTINCT TIMES OF THE YEAR.
